The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BRAC University is inviting applications for the
position of Research Assistant (RA). This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge
research in Artificial Intelligence, Applied Machine Learning and Computational Biology.

Position Title: Research Assistant

Number of Positions: 01

Responsibilities:

• Assist in conducting research experiments and data analysis.
• Conduct literature reviews and contribute to research papers.
• Collaborate with faculty and other researchers on ongoing research projects.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and research documentation.
• Participate in regular meetings and discussions related to the research project.

Selection Criteria:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with a CGPA not less than 3.5. (the
  candidate must have graduated by 28/02/2026)
• Strong background in data science/optimization/ML or any of the related fields.
• Proficiency in programming languages (python/R).
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with state-of-the-art data science libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Prior research experience in ML, Data Mining, AI
• Familiarity with academic writing and publication processes.

Duration: The position is for 6 months with the possibility of extension based on performance.
