Classical cryptography, number theory, block ciphers, stream ciphers, symmetric cryptography, DES (Data Encryption Standard) constructs, AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) construct, public key cryptography, hash functions, digital signature, elliptic curve cryptography.

Course Objectives

The core objectives of this course are to:
Acquire the basic mathematical foundations for cryptography
Develop a clear understanding regarding the insecurities of classical crypto systems
Acquire knowledge about different symmetric and public key cryptographic primitives
