Course Objectives

The core objectives of this course are to:
Understand core concepts of privacy, the role of Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs), and their importance in protecting individual privacy in digital environments
Apply statistical and cryptographic techniques for privacy to enhance privacy in data processing and communication
Evaluate and implement advanced PETs, including their applications in various domains
Analyze the ethical considerations and societal impact of PETs, considering both the benefits and challenges associated with their deployment in real-world contexts
