The core objectives of this course are to:
Understanding the fundamental principles and concepts of HCI: Students will gain knowledge about the fundamental principles and concepts of HCI, such as human cognition, perception, and behavior, as well as design principles and evaluation methods.
Designing usable and accessible user interfaces: Students will learn how to design user interfaces that are usable and accessible, considering factors such as user goals, tasks, and preferences, as well as the physical and cognitive abilities of different user groups.
Applying user-centered design and evaluation methods: Students will be introduced to user-centered design and evaluation methods, such as user research, prototyping, and usability testing, and will apply them in the context of designing and evaluating user interfaces.
Understanding the social and ethical implications of technology: Students will gain an understanding of the social and ethical implications of technology, including issues related to privacy, security, and accessibility, and will learn how to design interfaces that consider these factors.
Developing team and communication skills: Students will work in teams to design and evaluate user interfaces and will develop skills in communication, collaboration, and project management.
