Prantik Paul is a highly accomplished individual currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Brac University. With an outstanding academic background and a plethora of achievements, he has made remarkable contributions to the field.

 

Prantik's educational journey is marked by excellence. He obtained his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) from Chittagong Collegiate School in Chittagong, securing the first position in the Talentpool Scholarship Merit List with a perfect GPA of 5.00/5.00. Continuing his success, he pursued his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Chittagong College, where he once again secured the top position in the Talentpool Scholarship Merit List with an impeccable GPA of 5.00/5.00.

 

His passion for computer science and engineering led Prantik to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). With unwavering dedication, he maintained a remarkable CGPA of 3.9214/4.00, showcasing his commitment to academic excellence.

 

Prantik's research experience is extensive, with a notable project being his undergraduate thesis on Common Sense based Question Answering. Under the guidance of Dr. Rifat Shahriyar, he introduced the concept of Bangla ConceptNet, showcasing his expertise in natural language processing and problem-solving.

 

Throughout his academic journey, Prantik undertook several exceptional projects, each highlighting his proficiency in various programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Notably, he developed a Heart Condition Classifier using deep learning techniques, employed PyTorch and TensorFlow frameworks in a project on Bangla Digit Recognition implemented from scratch, and contributed to the development of COMPASS, a recommendation system software utilizing Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB.

 

In addition to his academic accomplishments, Prantik has received numerous awards and prizes. He has consistently achieved the Dean's List Award at BUET, acknowledging his outstanding performance and academic achievements. He has also been a recipient of multiple scholarships, including the Talentpool Scholarship at both the Secondary and Higher Secondary levels. His consistent first positions in the scholarship merit lists reflect his exceptional abilities and dedication to learning.

 

Prantik has excelled in various regional olympiads, securing top positions in competitions such as the Bangladesh Math Olympiad (Regional), Bangladesh Science Olympiad (Regional), Bangladesh Zoology Olympiad (Regional), and Bangladesh Chemistry Olympiad (Regional). These accolades underline his exceptional problem-solving skills and aptitude in STEM fields.

Beyond academics, Prantik has pursued his passions and interests. He has completed an 8-year music course as a vocalist at Sunrise Sangit Niketon in Chittagong. Additionally, he has honed his skills in recitation and received training in art at Sowkat Jahan Art School, winning several prizes in exhibitions.

 

Prantik's achievements extend beyond his personal pursuits. He has actively participated in extracurricular activities and served in various leadership roles. As the Organizational Secretary (Logistics) at Murchhona, the leading cultural club in BUET, he demonstrated his organizational skills and commitment to promoting cultural activities. He has also been an Executive Member of BFS (BUET Film Society) and Shopnosarothi, a humanitarian organization that focuses on scholarships, relief programs during the pandemic, and assisting those in need.

 

With his extensive skills in programming languages, frameworks, and databases, Prantik possesses a solid foundation in data science, machine learning, and software development. His ability to leverage Python, C, C++, Java, and a range of frameworks including Node.js, Express.js, React, and PyTorch, among others, exemplify his versatility and adaptability in various technological domains.
