Md. Shamim Mia is currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BRAC University. Prior to this role, he held positions as a Contractual Lecturer and a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the same department. While serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant under the supervision of Dr. Sadia Hamid Kazi, he gained valuable teaching experience and deepened his knowledge of computer networks. During his undergraduate studies, he also served as a Student Tutor in the same department for four semesters. 

Shamim earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from BRAC University in 2023, graduating with the highest distinction. He was also awarded the Vice Chancellor's Gold Medal at the 15th convocation of BRAC University. Before his undergraduate studies, he completed his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Notre Dame College, Dhaka, in 2018. He consistently excelled in his academic studies, achieving performance-based scholarships from BRAC University and merit-based Government scholarships in all Board Exams.
