Atanu Roy is currently working as a full time Lecturer at Brac University from Fall 2025. Previously we has an Adjunct Lecturer in the same department for 2 years. He was also a System Engineer at Nagad as well as a Technology Intern at the same company for 4 months. 

He completed his BSc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Brac University. While he was a student, he worked as a Student Tutor for the CSE department for almost 1.5 years. Alongside that, he also actively participated in various extracurricular activities. His four-year journey at the Robotics Club of Brac University (ROBU) culminated in him holding the position of Director of the Editorial and Publications Department. While being a part of the club, he conducted numerous sessions on the Basics of Robotics. In addition to his involvement with ROBU, he was also associated with the IEEE Computer Society BRACU Student Branch Chapter, where he held the position of Vice Chair in the year 2022.

His educational journey began at St. Joseph Higher Secondary School, where he completed his school and college education.
