Joya Akter is presently working as a Contractual Lecturer in BRAC University in the department of Computer Science and Engineering. She has also completed her Bachelors from BRAC University and during her tenure here as a student, she was a ST for both the CSE department and the MNS department (Mathematics and Natural Science).

She is also very motivated and has a strong desire for research . Her primary interests lie in Blockchain and Machine learning and she also completed a paper on it which was recently published: "A Design for Managing Smart National Identity Cards Securely through the Utilization of Blockchain Technology". Along with this, she is also working on another paper with a colleague of hers which is based on LLM. Plus she even takes a keen interest in AI.
