I am an aspiring physicist with an MSc in Particles, Strings and Cosmology from Durham University. My MSc. was funded by the Hatfield Lioness Scholarship which I was awarded from a pool of around 500 applicants in 2020.

After completion of my MSc. I resumed my role as a lecturer at the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Brac University in Bangladesh. I have instructed courses on Artificial Intelligence, Simulation and Modeling and Statistics. Currently, I am also conducting a course on Probabilistic Models.

Majoring both in Physics and Computer Science in my bachelors (BRAC University), I am also enthusiastic about data science, AI and simulation. Especially the applications of these fields in modern day physics and solving social and practical problems intrigue me. Recently I have supervised thesis projects on Application of Physics Informed Neural Networks in Cosmological Parameter Predictions and, Use of Quantum Aware Algorithms in Image Protection in Generative AI.

I am passionate about equity in STEAM and want to contribute to building a community of students studying fundamental sciences.  I have initiated and coordinated the participation of my home country, Bangladesh in the European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad and have been the team leader/deputy leader in 2024, 2022 and 2021. In 2023, I started Bangladesh Girls' Mathematics Foundation aiming to empower girls of Bangladesh in Mathematics and STEM fields.

When I am not working, I seek solace in poetry, stories, music and photography. I try to involve myself in different creative activities. I have been the diversity monitor at the Hatfield College's 175th Anniversary Play, Lions in the Bailey. In the 2022/23 academic session, I was elected to serve as the MCR Chair at Hatfield College, Durham University, where I represented and led the postgraduate student body.

I published a book of poetry at the age of 16 and still continue to write poetry in Bangla.
