Sumaiya is a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BRAC University, Bangladesh. Her research interests span human-computer interaction, reinforcement learning, data science, and hardware-oriented domains such as human-robot interaction. She is particularly interested in interdisciplinary research that bridges real-world problems with technological solutions. She completed her bachelor’s degree in 2023 and joined BRAC University in 2024, where she has taught courses including Computer Architecture, Computer Interfacing, Microprocessors and Introduction to Robotics. Her current research focus includes usable security, information assurance, and human factors in computing systems.
