Ariyan Hossain is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Brac University. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from Brac University, graduating with the highest distinction. 

 

In his role as a Lecturer, Ariyan teaches core courses such as Data Structures (CSE220) and Algorithms (CSE221), actively engaging with students through both theory and lab sessions.

 

Ariyan also served as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Brac University. Under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Nur Yanhaona, he worked on classifying news article framing using machine learning and natural language processing techniques. 

 

His research interests include machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and AI ethics. His undergraduate thesis, supervised by Dr. Farig Yousuf Sadeque, focused on exploring and mitigating gender bias in word embeddings from transformer-based language models, with the findings submitted for publication. Ariyan continues to contribute to academic research while fostering a passion for teaching and mentorship.
