Md. Asif Haider is currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Brac University. He earned his Bachelor of Science (BSc. Engg.) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2024. During his undergraduate studies, Asif completed short, hybrid internships at OpenRefactory, Inc. Bangladesh and North West Power Generation Company Limited (NWPGCL) where he focused on Secure Software Engineering and Machine Learning tasks respectively. Additionally, he had actively mentored high school students for the past few years.

His current research interests span Software Engineering and Security, Large Language Models, and Human Factors in Computing. He is also passionate about Natural Language Processing techniques applied to the Healthcare domain and contemporary topics on Computational Social Science.

Asif is deeply thankful for the mentors and resources he has been blessed with throughout his journey. Driven by a strong enthusiasm towards research and development, he is committed to contributing back to the academic community with what the students need most: quality education, motivating guidance, and mental support. He is also an advocate of academic and cultural leadership activities on campus and beyond. When he is not busy with academic/research work, he is likely to be found diving into music, literature, and theater.
