Ayon Roy is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BRAC University, Dhaka. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from BRAC University in February 2025, graduating with the highest distinction in his program.

 

Before joining BRAC University as an Adjunct Lecturer, Ayon held several technical roles. He completed a Digitalist Internship in the AI ​​and Automation Department at Banglalink Digital Communications Limited and worked as an Digital Finance and Services Intern with the ML Team at NCC Bank PLC. During his studentship, he also worked as a Undergraduate Student Tutor/ Teaching Assistant in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, supporting core academic subjects.

 

Ayon's undergraduate thesis focused on the advancement of Bangla machine translation using informal datasets. This work involved creating a state-of-the-art dataset and applying sequence-to-sequence models to improve translation quality for low-resource and informal regional languages. His current research interests include Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), LLM, Cryptography.
