Soumya Swagata Biswas is a full-time Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BRAC University. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in March 2025. Prior to joining BRAC University, he served as a full-time Lecturer at United International University (UIU).

Mr. Biswas is deeply passionate about both software development and academic research. His undergraduate thesis focused on enhancing defense mechanisms in Vertical Federated Learning Systems through the incorporation of Gradient Sparsification. His current research interests include developing adversarial attack strategies for Horizontal Federated Learning Systems.

Beyond his academic and professional commitments, he is an enthusiastic learner with a keen interest in astronomy. In his leisure time, he enjoys watching anime and binge-watching series. He actively engages in research discussions and is known for his skills as an impromptu speaker. He is also deeply committed to teaching and inspiring others.
