QURRATUL AYEN ELMA is an Adjunct Lecturer in the School of Data and Sciences at BRAC University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from BRAC University, graduating with Highest Distinction. Her academic tenure was marked by consistent excellence, earning her multiple placements on the Vice Chancellor’s List and the Dean’s List.
Ms. Elma’s current research interests are situated at the vital intersection of Computer Networks and Machine Learning (ML), with a broader focus on Artificial Intelligence. Her scholarly contributions include the development of "Risk Radar," a query-based threat identification system, as well as research into Brute-Force SSH attack detection and the application of NLP for online sexism detection. Complementing her academic work, she gained significant industry insight as an Intern at Aarong, where she worked on Generative AI systems for retail operations and predictive ML models for sales forecasting.
With a global academic perspective fostered through the OSUN Exchange Program at Bard College, New York, Ms. Elma brings a diverse, cross-cultural approach to her teaching and research. Before joining the faculty, she contributed to the university’s academic community as a Student Tutor for the School of Data and Sciences and as a FYAT Mentor, where she provided dedicated guidance and mentorship to first-year students.
