Md. Arif Hasan is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BRAC University. He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Software Engineering from the University of Dhaka, where he developed a strong foundation in software systems, research methodology, and analytical problem-solving.

Before joining BRAC University, he served as a Lecturer at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT). He also gained industry experience as a Trainee Software Engineer at Cefalo Bangladesh Limited, where he worked on full-stack web applications and contributed to real-world software development projects involving scalable systems and collaborative platforms.

His research career began at the Distributed Systems & Software Engineering (DSSE) Lab at the University of Dhaka. His work focuses on software engineering, particularly software testing, Program Analysis, Software Quality Assurance & Human Computer Interaction.

He has also been involved in international research collaboration with researchers from George Mason University through a program affiliated with the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His ongoing work explores the intersection of software testing, program analysis, and distributed systems, with an emphasis on building tools and frameworks that enhance software quality and developer productivity.

His long-term research vision is to advance the field of software engineering by designing reliable, efficient, and deterministic systems that can operate robustly in increasingly complex and large-scale environments.
