Synopsis

Small nucleolar RNAs (snoRNAs) are a class of non-coding RNAs that primarily function in the chemical modification of ribosomal RNA (rRNA), transfer RNA (tRNA), and small nuclear RNAs (snRNAs). Recent research has suggested that snoRNAs may also play a significant role in various human diseases, including cancers, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases. Understanding snoRNA-disease associations could provide insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying these conditions and open up new avenues for therapeutic interventions.
